Owners of Chinook Motor Homes from across the United States and Canada can enjoy any of the activities and read newsletters from either the Chinook Camping Club or the Chinook RV Club. The primary differences between the two clubs are in the geographical areas where the majority of their members live and where most of their scheduled events take place.

The good news is that any owner of a Chinook RV need only join one of these two clubs in order to be able to participate in the activities of both clubs.

The Chinook Camping Club is for the friendship, education and enjoyment of current and past owners of Chinook motorhomes of all models and ages. Meet new friends and go new places. We have rallies! The oldest of the two clubs, The Chinook Camping Club, founded in January 2001, is oriented towards the eastern U. S., while the Chinook RV Club is oriented towards the western states.  However, the two Clubs "overlap" in the central U. S., and members from each club regularly participate in events planned and hosted by the other club .

Next, you will come to a "fork in the road." For ease of "navigation" on this website, we have organized it into two "roads", one for the Chinook Camping Club (east coast), and the other for the Chinook RV Club (west coast). Visitors are welcome to sightsee along either or both roads, so enjoy yourself.

Why Join the Chinook RV Club?

Recently, one of the club's presidents received an email from person interested in joining the club, but wanting to know why they should join.  The gentleman liked the president's reply and said it should be on our website.  So, below is the response, edited and generalized for either club.

 

Dear Chinook Enthusiast,
 

We are glad to hear you own or are purchasing a Chinook.  You should be very happy with it.

I will say that no one has ever asked the question as to why you should join the Chinook RV Club.   There is no definitive answer to that question.  If you were to ask what the club is about, we would simply state that it is a group of owners who enjoy traveling in their Chinook and making new friends.  Benefits of belonging?  Besides participating with fellow owners in sharing something you have in common, the pride in ownership, travel, etc.?
 

1.  With no factory in existence, current owners are your best source of information

2.  Members share tips and hints on maintenance, renovations etc.

3.  If you have a problem, there is more than likely someone who had it and resolved it - this can save $$$$ on having RV repair.

4.  Attend rallies in different areas for fun and fellowship

5.  Receive email updates, quarterly newsletter and annual membership directory
 

If you were to talk to anyone who is a member, whether they've joined in the last few months, or 5 years ago or more, you would see that they feel it is one of the best things they have done.  At a price of $35 per year, you can't go wrong.
